Randy Rosso
Data Consultant who specializes in building data systems. Randy has 20 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, and building data systems, including six years with the Urban Institute and NNIP. In his time with Urban, Randy processed national datasets to prepare local indicator files to share with NNIP partners. He managed data and data visualizations for the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC). He has built a series of interactive online maps for FRAC with the D3 JavaScript library, many of which are listed here: http://www.frac.org/research/mapping-tools.
He has worked with many kinds of data—administrative, survey, statistical; national, state, local; public, confidential—and offers a robust suite of data-related services, including data cleaning, integration, management, analysis, and presentation. He has built workflows to extract data from PDFs and web pages, resolve errors and inconsistencies, and integrate the data in a new, harmonized format.
Skills include Stata, R, SAS, SQL, D3, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Excel, and relational databases.
