Data and Technology Manager

Greg has extensive experience with government, foundations, non-profits, and service providers.  Before joining Data Driven Detroit (D3), he worked for the City of Detroit’s Planning & Development Department, managing economic development projects and planning initiatives such as the Compuware Building, the Shops & Homes of Jefferson Village, truck routes, greenways planning, and the local update of census addresses (LUCA).  As D3's Data & Technical Manager, he works at the crossroads of analysis, visualization, mapping, and technology, Greg has successfully collaborated with partners to design, data process, launch, and manage the Detroit Parcel Survey project (a survey dataset of 340,000 residential parcels).  His work includes economic development, community development, community planning, demographics, housing, vacancy, blight, surveys, political redistricting, and voting. He researches, develops, maintains, and upgrades D3's IT and GIS infrastructure, and its emerging technology innovations. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Masters in Public Administration from Wayne State University, and is All But Dissertation in Public Policy, Public Administration, and American Government from Wayne State University.
