The Data Center is looking for a dynamic new Executive Director who will lead, expand, and grow the work of this great organization.
The Data Center brings decisionmakers together around a common set of facts in otherwise complex and uncertain environments. In 2015, The Data Center published three seminal reports: The New Orleans Index at Ten Collection; The Coastal Index; and The New Orleans Youth Index. In 2016, we mastered emergent, multi-level communication modes to put our robust findings directly into the hands of decisionmakers. We developed and circulated hundreds of social media posts, infographics, and videos as these media became increasingly important news sources for policy makers, journalists, and the general public. Our ability to produce leading edge content and disseminate it via the most accessible technologies continues to be central to what the community values and is at the heart of our mission – making informed decisions possible.
The key function of the Executive Director is to guide The Data Center’s mission of democratizing data into realistic action, ensuring quality standards and ongoing impact of the organization. As the primary public representative of the organization, the Executive Director pursues these goals through the development of strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts to achieve the appropriate range of applied, relevant community-based projects can drive decisions for sustainability and inclusive prosperity in the region.
