Innovate Memphis currently works on innovation efforts in Emergency Medical Services, Transportation and Mobility, Neighborhood Indicators and Data Capacity Development, Home Health Services, and Public Space. As a Program Manager with Innovate Memphis, Susan performs research, design, and project management roles to support multiple programs and priority areas. She serves as the primary project support role and data evaluation lead for Reimagining the Civic Commons.
She supported the launch of Neighborhood Condition programs and is an engaged participant of multiple initiatives related to open data and data governance. She is a member of the Data committee of the Blight Elimination Steering Team, the United Way Driving the Dream Data Interoperability Systems Advisory group and the Civic Data Forum.
Prior to joining Innovate Memphis, Susan worked as a research assistant for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (Department of Preventive Medicine) on research studies related to public health. Previous work includes supporting digital strategy and database management for an agriculture technology venture devoted to minimizing waste through innovative precision sensing technology. Susan graduated from University of Memphis with a B.A in Communications and achieved a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice.
