Promise Neighborhood for Miami Beach Partnership

The proposed Promise Neighborhood for Miami Beach planned to build upon the existing Miami Beach Service Partnership, which provides comprehensive services to youth at risk for truancy and their families. This Partnership has received a grant from The Children's Trust for their work through October 2011, with the potential for funding for an additional two more years. The Trust also provides occasional data assistance to the Partnership.

The City of Miami Beach has experience implementing projects similar to that of the Promise Neighborhoods in that it received a planning grant from The Children's Trust in 2006 to develop a collaboration to improve the delivery of human services in the City of Miami Beach. Out of that grant The Miami Beach Service Partnership was born.
