Key Demographic, Employment Vulnerability, and Housing Market Data Dashboard for Communities United Neighborhoods
This data dashboard was developed in collaboration with Communities United (CU) as part of a project funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation aimed at engaging youth to guide COVID-19 recovery efforts in their communities. This dashboard identifies housing and community development challenges resulting from COVID-19 in CU's five target community areas: Albany Park, Austin, Belmont Cragin, Roseland, and West Ridge. The data below highlight a set of demographic and socioeconomic variables, housing market data and housing stock characteristics, and potential COVID-19 related employment vulnerability for CU's target community areas compared to the City of Chicago. These data are based on American Community Survey 5-year and 1-year estimates and data from the Cook County Assessor. Because some of the data are based on samples, some variables with a low number of observations may have high margins of error and be unreliable. Those data points with high margins of error have been bolded and should be interpreted with some caution.
