Civic Tech and Data Collaborative Kick-off

The Civic Tech and Data Collaborative is a project of NNIP, Code for America and the Living Cities Foundation to support teams of civic technologists, data practitioners and government officials in cities to develop data and technology solutions to address pressing problems. Together with our partners, we are working with local teams of civic technologists, data specialists, and local government leaders in two cities–Boston and St. Louis–to use data and tech to address pressing problems affecting low-income residents. Each city will be supported in this effort by a $200,000 grant and coaching from the national partner organizations. Additionally, four cities were awarded learning partner grants: San Antonio, Seattle, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh.

These teams all convened in Oakland in September 2015 to meet other teams, begin planning, and kick-off project work. The meeting was co-led by the three national collaborative organizations.
