A Fair and Healthy Start

Every mother deserves to experience a healthy pregnancy and birth. Healthy births are common in the Austin, Texas area; however, for economically disadvantaged and minority women poor birth outcomes are more prevalent.  Birth outcomes are measures that describe health at birth. These outcomes, such as Low Birth Weight (LBW), indicate the likelihood of a healthy start for a child and have immense implications for future growth and development.
