SAVI's Newest Tools: SAVI Advanced and SAVI Indices

This presentation was part of the Ignite Showcase at the NNIP May 2015 partners meeting. 

SAVI published new tools earlier this year including SAVI Advanced and SAVI Indices. SAVI Advanced is our implementation of Weave with a few new wrinkles including the ability to create stories out of a string of visualizations that can include users’ own custom text. Users can publish their completed stories on SAVI and also embed them into their own website.

Our new SAVI Indices tool brings together multiple indices in a simple-to-use interface putting users within one click of getting data for a geography. The selected indices give a general overview of socioeconomic conditions by county, tract, township, and school corporation. Charts are provided to give information on race, age, and educational attainment. All of the data can be downloaded in a spreadsheet allowing users to conduct their own detailed analysis.
