Strategic Planning for the Community Information Field

Supported by the John D. And Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, NNIP leaders have developed a draft strategy document to guide the work of NNIP over the next few years.  This session walks through the document, which first covers the basic functions performed by local NNIP partners and their institutional arrangements. It then describes a proposed information campaign about NNIP, our plan for the expansion of network services, and recommendations of national activities outside of NNIP that are needed to support local data capacity.

Tom Kingsley and Kathy Pettit review the report, and then hear comments from Penny Canny of the Greater New Haven Community Foundation, Phyllis Betts (Memphis) and Tim Bray (Dallas).
