Expanding to Additional Municipalities

Working with the Congress of Neighboring Communities (CONNECT) at the University of Pittsburgh, we are seeking to expand the coverage of the PNCIS to additional municipalities in Allegheny County by developing a sustainable model for gathering and using data across multiple jurisdictions.

As part of these efforts, we are working with data from Wilkinsburg Borough, a Pittsburgh suburb. We will analyze the relationship between Wilkinsburg's property condition information and other available countywide data in the PNCIS, such as vacancy, tax liens, and foreclosure. The results of this analysis will help identify important condition indicators from the PNCIS in communities where municipal data is not available.
