Data Collection and Information Sharing around School Discipline
"Data Collection and Information Sharing around School Discipline" features analysts from Council of State Governments Justice Center. Last year they released their “School Discipline Consensus Report,” which integrates research and evidence across the fields of education, health, law enforcement, and juvenile justice and details policy recommendations to reduce exclusionary discipline practices and improve conditions for learning for all students. The report also pays close attention to issues of information sharing across systems and data collection to monitor progress and inform program planning. In this webinar, two of the authors, Emily Morgan and Nina Salomon, will provide a high level overview of the report and focus on the specific recommendations related to information sharing and data collection.
