Cuts to education spending by the incoming Governor of Pennsylvania have raised the question of whether the state's increased funding for education has resulted in positive educational outcomes. Comparison of failure rates across all levels of subsidy during the years between 2001 and 2010 demonstrated that educational success was present across both math and reading standardized test score, with the greatest increases coming in the years from 2006 onward, when the increase in state funding was at its peak.
