(Inactive) Children's Optimal Health (Austin*)
One of Austin's FQHC (Federally Qualified Healthcare Center) clinics received a grant to explore the concept of a "Community-Centered Health Home", and has asked us at Children's Optimal Health to help in analyzing and mapping childhood obesity in children attending the two middle schools in the neighborhood where the clinic is located. We are using data from the Austin Independent School District, family perceptions of needs from the neighborhood, Family Resource Centers, Austin Police Department, and the Texas Comptroller's office to paint a picture of the neighborhood in terms of resources, liabilities, and other factors that may be impacting childhood obesity in this area.
