IUPR Holds Pilot Community Leadership Academy Seminar

An outgrowth of the Citi Community Leadership Initiative, the Institute held a pilot session for the Community Leadership Academy, a program designed to bring University students, leaders, and non-profits together for learning and mutual development. During the inaugural session, graduate and undergraduate students were paired with non-profit organizations from the community, while professionals from the University’s Development Office provided guidance on soliciting philanthropic gifts. At the end of the workshop, students worked with non-profits to prepare a letter of interest for local philanthropic organizations.
