D3 Hired by Detroit Blight Task Force to Create Public Property Database

A newly formed Detroit blight task force calls upon many of Detroit's most experienced leadership, including Glenda Prince, Linda Smith and Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert. The task force has recently hired Data Driven Detroit to help assist in the data collection necessary to update outdated information about properties and prioritize areas in desperate need of relief. Over the next 12 weeks, Data Driven Detroit will lead a massive survey effort using smartphone tools to create a public database of an estimated 78,000 abandoned Detroit parcels and properties and their current condition.
