3:45pm to 5:15pm
Jenn Comey (chair), Jordan Wirfs-Brock, Bob Gradeck, Steve Spiker, Matt Barry
This session was part of the NNIP Partners' Meeting in September 2012. Partner organizations from Denver, Pittsburgh, and Oakland share lessons about working on school issues in partnership with public school systems and external organizations and give advice to partners interested in starting education-related analysis and engagement. The presentations address issues such as the achievement gap for African-American males, equity in educational opportunity, attendance patterns, and parents' inputs for school choice.
