Urban Affairs Association Conference - (April 2013)
Pittsburgh is hosting the 42nd Urban Affairs Association conference in 2012. Sabina Deitrick is serving as co-chair of the local host committee. The theme of this year's conference is "Rethinking the Future of Urbanism: Cities and regions in a Post-Industrial Era"
The Urban Affairs Association is dedicated to creating interdisciplinary spaces for engaging in intellectual and practical discussions about urban life. These yearly conferences are an integral part of UAA's efforts to increase knowledge about urban places and promote the development of research activities. They provide an excellent opportunity for members to exchange ideas, information, and experiences.
A number of NNIP partners representing Pittsburgh, Providence, New Haven, Detroit, and the Urban Institute will be presenting a session titled "Using Neighborhood Data to Reimaginge Cities in the Post-Industrial Era" on Thursday, April 19th. A number of NNIP members will also be presenting their work at the Conference.
