Institute for Urban Policy Research   (Dallas)
Urban Strategies Council   (Oakland)
The Polis Center   (Indianapolis)

April 2015

The White House Domestic Policy Council, in collaboration with the Office of Science and Technology Policy and the Laura and John Arnold Foundation are sponsoring a discussion titled "Technology and Data Innovations for Transparency and Accountability in Policing."  They are bringing leaders from police departments and data/analytics offices around the country and are including technologists and local data intermediaris in the discussion.  They hope to highlight ways jurisdictions are already using technology and data and identify how these tools could be better leveraged to both improve law enforcement and transparency on policing for local communities.

NNIP Partner staff from the Institute for Urban Policy Research in Dallas, Urban Strategies Council in Oakland and the Polis Center in Indianapolis have been invited to contribute to the event.
